The Stone Age

 

On February 1st the pupils in Shrone school tuned into a webinar titled Killaclohane Portal Tomb: Explore Kerry in the Stone Age.  

 Since then the pupils in the Junior room have done lots of work in relation to the Stone age. Our thanks to Claudia Kohler Education Officer Kerry County Museum for presenting a very informative webinar. 

Confirmation

Congratulations to all the children in the parish who are making their confirmation over the next few days.

Congratulations Aoibhinn

Congratulations to Aoibhinn who won first place in a poetry competition that was run by Pony Tales Stables in Killarney. 

She designed a lovely card and she composed a fabulous poem.

Congratulations to the u14 and u15 Basketball Teams.

This morning we welcomed the u14 and u15 basketball teams from Scoil Phobail Sliabh Luachra. Both teams are All Ireland School Cup Champions.  Congratulations to them both and we wish a very special congratulations to our past pupil Jamie Cronin who was part of the u14 basketball team. We want to thank both teams for calling to see us this morning. In recognition of their achievements the pupils will have no homework until next week. (At Jamie's Request.)

Spring in Shrone N.S.

This week the pupils in the Junior room were learning all about Spring.We studied the frog in detail. 

We spotted the signs of Spring in our school grounds. Spring is definitely in the air in Shrone.

Huge congratulations to the All Ireland champions  U14 S.P.S.L basketball team. A huge congratulations to our past pupil Jamie Cronin. Well done Jamie. 🎉

Energy Workshops.

Today we welcomed Siobhan to our school. She presented energy workshops to the pupils. We would like to thank the SEAI and Siobhan because the pupils really enjoyed the workshops.
