Our sincere thanks to Santa Claus who took time out of his busy schedule to come and visit us here in Shrone. 

Our Christmas Play.

Congratulations to the pupils who provided us with lots of laughs and great entertainment during our Christmas play on Tuesday 17th December. 

Many thanks to Diarmuid who wrote and directed the play. Our thanks to Rathmore pantomime group who provided us with some colourful costumes. We would like to thank the parents who provided refreshments for after the show.

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the pageant last night in Shrone Church.

Ye were absolutely wonderful.

Our thanks to Sheilann for her beautiful singing… it really added to the mass.

Well done to all the pupils from Hollymount also.First Holy Communion pupils took an active part in the mass as this was also a 

Do This In Memory Mass.

The true Spirit of Christmas was felt by one and all.

Knockreer House

Knockreer House

On Tuesday Dec 10th we went on a trip to Knockreer House Killarney.

Tara and Siobhan welcomed us.

 They spoke to us about the plants and animals that are alive at this time of the year .

We went on a scavenger hunt in the woods, we spotted herds of sika and red deer,we did various experiments in the forest and we finished off the day with a game of bat and moth in the bright Winter sunshine.

We all re connected with nature and we are so lucky to have this national treasure on our doorstep.

Our thanks to Siobhan and Tara  for sharing their vast knowledge of their environment  and we look forward to welcoming them to Shrone N.S in the near future.
