Catholic Schools Week. Thursday.

In the Junior room they had a discussion about how to care for the environment. Think of all the ways that you can for your community. 

Pupils in the senior room discussed the ten   commandments and they devised their own commandments for caring for the environment.

Today in the Junior room we did poems and stories about an fear sneachta as Gaeilge.

Catholic Schools Week. Tuesday.

Today in the Senior room we discussed diversity and spoke about how we are called to treat others as we would like to be treated.

 We did an activity where we paid a compliment to each person in the room and we received 12 compliments back. 

In the Junior room we spoke about when Pope Francis visited Ireland last August. He reminds us to say Please, Thank you and I am sorry and this week we will try to use these words every day. 

Catholic Schools Week. Monday.

Today we started to celebrate the beginning of Catholic Schools Week. Today’s theme was Living Tradition. Pupils from Junior Infants to 2nd class explored how we belong in our school. We  recalled our favourite Bible stories ..... Zacchaeus and the boy Jesus lost in the temple. We spoke about our favourite prayer and we wrote it out. We then concluded with a prayer. 
 

The pupils in the senior room explored the theme of dignity and it’s meaning. We prayed for ourselves and our school community and we learnt Pope Francis Five Finger Prayer.
