Birds Nests.

The senior room made Easter nests. They took inspiration from nature by looking at a collection of nests collected last autumn. They used popsicle sticks and glue to create a structure and then lined it with nesting materials like twigs, moss, dry grass and feathers they found around the yard. They then made origami birds to sit on top of the nest with a few little Easter surprises underneath.

Treasure hunt.

The pupils took part in our annual Easter egg treasure hunt.  The red team made it back first with all their eggs and everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly. 

Easter Bunny

All the pupils got a lovely surprise today when the Easter bunny paid a flying visit to Shrone N.S. 

The Easter bunny had a chat with all the pupils and gave them an Easter egg for all their hard work since Christmas.

Our thanks to Agri-Aware and Ray Lally for a great webinar yesterday “Keep active to keep well.” All pupils participated and thoroughly enjoyed the workout with Ray. 

Winner of Credit Union Art competition.

All the staff and pupils in Shrone N.S. wish to congratulate Aoibhinn on winning the Credit Union All Ireland Art competition. Aoibhinn competed in the U7 Category and she won 1st place. We were all delighted to hear the great news. 

 

Church.

This morning pupils visited Shrone church to say the Stations of the Cross. 

Easter Rabbit

Everyone in Shrone got a lovely surprise this morning when Isabella, Markus and Jessica brought their pet rabbit Starfire to school. 🐇 We all learned about what   rabbits eat, their habitat and their exercise routine.
