In November We Remember
November holds a special place in our school ethos as a time of reflection and remembrance of the dead. This time begins with All Saints’ Day on November 1, which honours the saints and martyrs who have exemplified lives of holiness, both known and unknown. Following this, All Souls’ Day on November 2 is dedicated to prayers for all departed souls. On their return to school, students will be encouraged to observe November as a time of remembrance with activities that foster reverence and reflection. Through prayer, silence, and visual tributes to loved ones who have passed, students will honour those who have left a mark on their lives. Readings from sacred texts will also offer insight into the Church’s teachings on life after death, allowing students to connect their personal memories with the shared faith tradition of this solemn month.
