Lifetime Labs.

Yesterday May 25th the pupils from the senior room travelled to Lifetime labs in Cork as part of the SESE science curriculum. In the course of the day they worked in various workshops based on electricity. With guidance from the expert Una the children made a variety of electrical circuits and learned about conductors and insulators of electricity.  They learned about safety around electricity and used their new skills to build scuabie the floor brushing robot, they also wired a model house for light and a motor ceiling fan. We discovered that weak electrical currents can pass through people even through all 28 children who attended. Our thanks to Mr Coakley and Mr Mc Kenna for giving them this opportunity.
