Active and healthy eating day in Shrone N.S.

On Monday Catriona O' Conner a home economics teacher visited Shrone N.S. She spoke to us about healthy eating,  the food pyramid and the nutrients that were found in various foods.

We made fruit salad, sugar free jelly, fruit kebabs, fruit smoothies and salt-free popcorn.

Meanwhile outside the infants were having great fun exercising on the bouncing castle. Our thanks to Joan and James Buckley who kindly gave us the loan of it.

After lunch Mr.Coakley treated us to an obstacle course. We had to run, hop, roll,  box and exercise our way through the course. At the end of the course we had put on a bib as quickly as we could this proved to be hard for some.

We all had a very healthy, active, educational and fun filled day.
