Happy Halloween!

What a busy day was had by all in Shrone N.S. Our thanks to the parents who provided us with some wonderful healthy treats for our party. 

Thanks to you the parents, the pupils really got into the spirit of Halloween and they looked amazing.

The pupils in the senior room were very busy this morning making pumpkin soup and we were all treated to some at lunch time. 

The pupils in the junior room were busy doing some artwork.

Maths Week 2017- Day 2.

Today we enjoyed learning about time. 

Junior and Senior Infants were learning about the days that we go to school 

and the days that we don’t go to school! 

1st and 2nd explored the days we have after school activities. 

Tuesday and Friday are our busiest days. We have most activities on those days. 


We all enjoyed learning about the months of the year. 

Maths Week 2017.

We did some wonderful  number work today. It was based on our Autumn display board. We talked about the shape of the owls, their eyes and their noses. (Circles and triangles). 

We counted the autumn leaves and we found out that there were 8 of each autumn coloured leaf. ( red, green, orange, yellow and brown.) We learnt about odd and even numbers.
