May Day
Today,May Day marks the official beginning of the Summer season.
There are lots of traditions associated with May Day….doing the rounds at The City,setting up the May Altar,decorating the hawthorn bush,leaving petals at the front door in order to protect the dwelling and it’s people….let us remember all those people who carried out those traditions and who passed them on to our generation.
Let us take time today to continue the traditions and to allow our younger generation to have special memories of May Day.
