Today the Senior Room traveled on the train from Rathmore to Tralee to a Dr. Maths lecture as part of Engineer's Week.
We got the train at 10am from Rathmore and arrived in Tralee at 10.50am. From there we walked to the IT Tralee South Campus and spent an hour learning about Maths and how it is used all around us. We spotted many patterns and designs that involved lines, angles and shapes. We also looked at patterns in number and had a go at some magic tricks using the "Josephus Problem".
We got the train back at 1.05pm and arrived in Rathmore at 2pm.
We really enjoyed the Engineer's Week activity as part of the Discover Primary Science programme.
